"IST changes my life daily! I absolutely LOVE the positive atmosphere, the motivating language by the trained coaching staff and their ability to scale workouts to each individual that walks through the door! I am so thankful for all their positivity, humor, motivation and finesse! From the Boot Camp, which encompasses all fitness levels and body types at various points in their fitness story, to the CrossFit classes which take it up a notch but you can scale to fit your fitness level.... it all keeps me coming back for more! I use fitness as my release with long days in my real estate career, keeping me moving and strong! That said, I have also tried every gym in the Twin Ports to include other boot camps and CrossFit gyms! IST coaches have literally been the motivating factor for me and I look forward to my next class in a community of welcoming friends! The bonus is the body changes, strength & positive mental health that is priceless!

"IST has changed my life. I started by going to bootcamp, and loved how I felt after each class. After just a few weeks I had lost weight, gained muscle, and noticed my clothes were fitting better. I’ve now been attending IST on a regular basis for over 5 years. I am healthier, have more energy, and more physically fit than I have ever been in my life. I never thought I could be a person who looked forward to going to the gym. Now I look forward to going everyday. My whole lifestyle has changed due to IST.
The coaches are the best part of IST. Not only are they incredibly knowledgeable and encouraging, but they also know everyone’s strengths and limitations. A close second place would be the community at the gym. I have made some very close friends by attending IST.
I would recommend IST to anyone. Most people are very intimidated by going to a new gym, or a CrossFit gym. IST is very welcoming, the coaches make sure to accommodate everyone, so that no matter your strength, ability, or knowledge, you can still get a good workout without injuring yourself or overdoing it."

"The impact IST has had on my life is huge! It has given the real me back. I look forward to going to the gym. Not just for the exercise but for the people also. I can proudly say I have friends at the gym. I feel welcomed and cared about. I feel safe in the environment. The coaches are phenomenal in the way they instruct the class. Ensuring that the exercises are done right and safety is ALWAYS a priority.
The coaches and the people. Everyone there wants the best for each other. you always have someone in your corner. Whether it's cheering you on with a different weight or picking your spirits up if you've had a bad day.
I would recommend IST to family and friends in a heartbeat. I have actually had a few friends join. I feel that IST was the piece that I was missing in my life. Having a community lean on. Best decision ever!"

"I moved to Duluth in July 2017 all by myself and joined IST to stay active but most importantly to find a community. IST is where I have met some of my lifelong friends. I go camping, parties, running, walking and Saturday coffee with them. IST is not just about fitness; it provides a social environment where you connect with like minded people with similar interests inside and outside the gym.
IST provides a safe space to people of all shapes and sizes. Some mornings, I am energetic and ready to PR and there are mornings where I just show up and that's what matters to me and my coach. The coaches listen to you and will push you when they know you need it but they will also encourage you to listen to your body if you are having a rough morning.
IST is a home away from home to me.
I think a lot of people think of crossfit as brutal, rough or full of people with abs. However, that's far from the truth. The coaches are very knowledgeable, empathetic, funny and most importantly they listen to you and will meet you right where you are on your fitness journey. I have recommended the bootcamp to a lot of friends who are thinking of starting their fitness journey. When in doubt, you just need to show up!"

"When I started training at IST CrossFit, I weighed 262 lbs and struggled with certain physical activity I needed for my job and day to day life. Over 8 months later with attending 2-3 classes a week and changes in diet, I weigh 205 lbs and have the physical endurance to take on those same day to day activities with ease! I still have a ways to go in my fitness/health journey, but this is already the best physical shape I've been in in the last 7+ years, and this is also the most sustainable method of fitness I've ever done. I'm excited to see what the next 8 months and beyond bring!
The coaches are incredibly impressive, not only with their extensive knowledge of fitness and health but their ability to meet everyone in class at their individual level. On the fly, they're able to adjust the workouts to fit your ability and needs to ensure you get what you need out of each class. They know when to push you but also when to dial it back to avoid over exertion or injury. They also design the workouts perfectly where they feel familiar enough where you know what to expect but always different enough to never feel like "the same old routine."
I'd recommend IST because no matter what level of physical fitness or health you're at, the coaches are able to tailor the workouts to fit your ability and needs. Each class is packed with people training at all abilities and levels, and all of them make up a supportive community that encourages you each step of the way."
