April 2016 Meal of the Month

This is an incredibly easy recipe for meatballs. They taste great, take very little prep work, and are an awesome source of lean protein. You can easily combine these meatballs with a carb source such as pasta or rice. I make 2oz meatballs, but you could also make 1oz. Remember, it is all about portion control whether your goal is weight loss or weight gain.

Easy Meatball Macronutrients

  • *Per 1 oz

  • Calories: 43

  • Fat: 2g

  • Carbohydrate: 0g

  • Protein: 6g


  • 2 pounds of ground beef (93/7)

  • 2 tbsp dried parsley

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp pepper


  • Preheat oven to 400F

  • Mix everything up in a bowl

  • Make 1-2oz meatballs

  • Place meatballs on a sheet pan lined with tinfoil, spray with a cooking spray

  • Cook for 15-20 min (check around 15 min)

  • Eat
